Winterfield Park cricket pitch set to open

Toledo city officials will celebrate the opening of the city’s new cricket pitch during a Friday ribbon-cutting ceremony at Winterfield Park.
The ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. at 4511 Hill Ave.
Toledoan Dr. Shaukat Rashid, who along with the Greater Toledo Cricket Club donated half of the $18,750 cost of the project, will be present to help dedicate the new cricket pitch. He said about six cricket leagues play in and around Toledo.
