One more chance to buy presale tickets for Yayoi Kusama exhibit

The general public has one more day — Monday — to get presale tickets for an installation by Japanese contemporary artist Yayoi Kusama.
Yayoi Kusama: Fireflies on the Water gives viewers a 60-second experience of infinite space inside one of the artist’s interactive rooms created with lights, mirrors and water. The exhibition runs through April 26.
Kusama, 90, who lives in a mental institution in Japan, has created more than 20 large-scale installations using infinity mirrors and playing off the idea of virtual reality in her seven-decade career. As a person who endured hallucinations throughout her life, Kusama played off those mental health issues in her work.
Tickets can be purchased online for $5 each from 10 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., Monday, at tickets.toledomuseum.org, or by phone at 419-255-8000, ext. 7448, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
After Monday, any remaining tickets will be released every Monday throughout the show, starting Dec. 16.
Yayoi Kusama, Fireflies on the Water, 2002, mrrors, plexiglass, lights, and water, can be seen at the Toledo Museum of Art on a ticketed basis.
