TRAC approves six-game football schedule

The Three Rivers Athletic Conference approved Tuesday its six-game schedule for the 2020 season.
Last Friday, the Ohio High School Athletic Association announced an altered plan contingent upon approval from Gov. Mike DeWine. Every high school football team will qualify for the playoffs and play four fewer regular-season games. DeWine is expected to make a decision this week, potentially Thursday.
The TRAC has created the following schedule:
Week 1 (Aug. 28)
■ Lima Senior at Central Catholic
■ Fremont at Clay
■ Findlay at Whitmer
■ St. Francis at St. John's
Week 2 (Sept. 4)
■ St. John's at Central Catholic
■ St. Francis at Whitmer
■ Findlay at Fremont
■ Clay at Lima Senior
Week 3 (Sept. 11)
■ Central Catholic at St. Francis
■ St. John's at Findlay
■ Whitmer at Clay
■ Fremont at Lima Senior
Week 4 (Sept. 18)
■ Findlay at Central Catholic
■ Clay at St. Francis
■ Lima Senior at St. John's
■ Whitmer at Fremont
Week 5 (Sept. 25)
■ Central Catholic at Whitmer
■ St. John's at Fremont
■ St. Francis at Lima Senior
■ Clay at Findlay
Week 6 (Oct. 2)
■ Central Catholic at Clay
■ Lima Senior at Findlay
■ Fremont at St. Francis
■ Whitmer at St. John's
The playoffs are scheduled to begin Oct. 9. Coaches in each region will conduct a tournament seed meeting the week of Sept. 28 to form the regional bracket.
