Dogs killed

Dogs killed Aug. 6-7 under the direction of Kelly Sears, director of the Lucas County Canine Care & Control:

Breed and description; reason; intake type and date with location found if stray. Dogs killed for poor behavior on body-handling and resource-guarding assessments are scored on a scale of 5, with higher scores being more aggressive. Dog-aggression assessments are not scored:

“Pit bull,” gray and white male, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (aggressive/unsafe); surrendered Aug. 6 by Chris Rybicki, Pleasant Drive, Temperance.

Boxer/American bulldog mix, tan and white female, licensed; owner requested euthanasia (14 years old, cancer, severely ill); surrendered Aug. 6 by Jon Adamski, South Erie Street, Toledo.

Parson Russell terrier, tricolor male, unlicensed; bit while running loose; stray taken to shelter July 26 by Shaunn Moore, Norwood Avenue, Toledo, from Norwood Avenue, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” white and brown female, unlicensed; failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression (stiff, freezing, lip curling, snarling, lunging and biting at fence in playgroup Aug. 3); stray picked up July 29 by a control officer at 1567 Western Ave., Toledo.

“Pit bull,” white and blue male, unlicensed; tried to bite during veterinary exam; stray taken to shelter Aug. 3 by by Stephanie Beebe, Latonia Boulevard, Toledo, from 2522 Powhattan Parkway, Toledo.

Bullmastiff/Labrador retriever mix, brindle male, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (10 years old, poor condition); surrendered Aug. 7 by Connie Peters, Western Avenue, Toledo.

Chow chow/German shepherd mix, orange male, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (15 years old, severe arthritis); surrendered Aug. 7 by Wayne Curtis, Bush Street, Toledo.

Shih Tzu, white female, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (9 years old, very ill); surrendered Aug. 7 by Conception Gonzalez, Dussell Drive, Maumee.
