CLEVELAND – University of Toledo center Luke Knapke set a single-game Rockets record with 10 blocked shots as Toledo topped Cleveland State 80-65 on Wednesday night at the Wolstein Center.

Knapke recorded a triple-double with 12 points, 12 rebounds, and those 10 blocked shots.

The 10 blocks by Knapke give him the all-time Toledo record, passing J.C. Harris, who swatted nine shots against Detroit in 1992.

Spencer Littleson paced the Rockets (6-2) with 19 points with four 3-pointers in the game, while Marreon Jackson added 17 points, Keshaun Saunders scored 13, and Willie Jackson chipped in with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

“Overall, I'm proud of our effort,” Toledo coach Tod Kowalczyk said. “We shot 45 percent and 46 percent from 3 and only had 11 turnovers against a pressing team. Then they shoot 33 percent which is huge...Willie Jackson with another double-double, Luke with a triple-double, Marreon with 17 points and four assists and Spencer with 19 points...I thought tonight was one of [Dylan Alderson's] best games. He got loose balls. He got his nose in there. He got a couple key rebounds for us with six rebounds. I thought he played really well tonight.”

Algevon Eichelberger led Cleveland State (4-5) with 12 points and Kasheem Thomas added 11 points.

Toledo led by as many as 23 points in the second half after Saunders hit a 3-pointer that made it 73-50.

Toledo was 25-of-33 from the foul line after getting into the bonus early in the second half. The Rockets shot 22-of-49 (44.9 percent) from the field and 11-of-24 (45.8 percent) from the 3-point line.

Cleveland State was just 22-of-66 (33.3 percent) from the field, but was 7-of-13 (53.8 percent) from the 3-point line. The Viking made just 14 foul shots compared to Toledo's 25.

Toledo led by as many as 11 points in the first half and took a 37-28 lead into halftime.

The Rockets shot 13-of-28 (46.4 percent) from the field and 7-of-13 (53.8 percent) from the 3-point line in the first half. Toledo's defense was solid in the opening half, limiting the Vikings to 11-of-33 (33 .3 percent) from the field and 2-of-6 (33.3 percent) from the 3-point line.
