Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control Office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800. For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

Breed and description; reason; intake type and date with location found if stray. Dogs killed for poor behavior on body-handling and resource-guarding assessments are scored on a scale of 5, with higher scores being more aggressive. Dog-aggression assessments are not scored:
“Pit bull,” brindle and white male, unlicensed; aggressive/unsafe; stray picked up Dec. 19 by a control officer at 622 S. Hill Park Drive, Springfield Township.
“Pit bull,” brown and white male, unlicensed; aggressive/unsafe; stray picked up Jan. 13 by a control officer on Courtland Avenue, Toledo.
“Pit bull,” brindle and white female, unlicensed; aggressive/unsafe; stray picked up Jan. 13 by a control officer in the 1400 block of Oak Street, Toledo.
“Pit bull,” brindle and white male, unlicensed; fearful/unsafe; stray picked up Jan. 15 by a control officer at 328 E. Central Ave., Toledo.
Boxer mix, black and white male, unlicensed; bite history; surrendered Jan. 15 by Paul Thompson, Foraker Avenue, Toledo.
“Pit bull” mix, white and black male, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (15 years old, cancer); surrendered Jan. 21 by James Szymanski, Roywood Road, Toledo.
“Pit bull,” tan and white male, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (16 years old, can't stand or walk); surrendered Jan. 21 by Duane Gardland, Hamilton Street, Toledo.
