The Ohio Department of Public Safety’s Office of Criminal Justice Services announced an award Wednesday of more than $4 million in federal funding for the Violence Against Women Act grant program.
The program funds local governments’ efforts to reduce violence against women and strengthen services provided to victims of domestic violence, stalking, and sexual assaults.
The money will be used to further fund victim service providers throughout Ohio.
